Update on the Brown’s Robin Nest :Big change from the May 8th picture I sent you, above. They are outgrowing the nest and I’m sure will be moving up to the next stage. Baby robins (known as fledglings) jump from their nests when they are about 9-16 days old. It then takes 10-15 days for them to become strong fliers and independent. The parents continue to feed their young during this period. 

Sadly, most robins die their first year, but the lifespan goes up dramatically for the ones that survive this critical time. Most robins live to be 5-6 years.  Brown (Beat Reporter)
